We stayed in a smoking room downstairs by the pool... I think 123 or 122. The room was not clean! Went to use the bathroom, came out to wash my hands... The soap was opened and used. I opened another soap went to dry my hands on the hand towel, it was damp. There were ashes over the whole room(nightstand, table floor) , smudges on the mirrors ... where had the room been wiped down or vacuumed, you would not have seen this. My daughter prepared for bed, turned down the covers... There was food all in the bed. I called the front desk, the man told me he didn't have any additional rooms and there wasn't any rooms nearby available but he did bring new sheets and new towels (we were in town for softball). I asked for a different room the next day as when we came back at 3, the room still wasn't clean. We checked into a room on the front.. The room appeared to be clean, we were pleased, dropped our bags... Went to use the bathroom. There was red sticky stuff on the toilet. I called the front desk, they said that was their cleaning products. Ok fine, that could be true as it didn't look like what my mind went straight to... So I asked the lady, now tell me... Why would that red stuff be on the white comfortor on the bed? They couldn't answer that question. I was assured the manager would contact me the next business week. I haven't heard from him or her yet and it's been over a week and a half.
The Room was clean, towels smelled fresh...the location was good. Check in and check out were simple enough. Stay was pleasant.
Horrible experience. Dirty sheets and filthy dirty bathroom. Mirror at sink had spit all over it. Counter was dirty with dead flies in corner so it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned. They did come clean the bathtub and toilet while we were in there at 11:00 at night and brought me new sheets but they were badly stained. They seemed very disgusted with me and we're very rude. The pool was nice and clean and the breakfast was awesome. The older black lady doing breakfast was wonderful. She was so helpful and kept fresh hot food coming out and was very friendly. Thank God for her.
The good: Friendly staff. The front desk and the breakfast section woman were very pleasant. The bad: the room itself. Dated interiors and bathroom. We had a delayed flight and after calling more than 6 hotels (which were all sold out!) this hotel had a sole smoking room available which we settled for. The experience of it (being a non smoker) was as expected: horrible. Silver lining was that it was brief stay of 5 hours. You get what you pay for, and this is a value for money if you paid advanced booking rates (around 90$). Last minute booking costed us 140$ for a dinky room, totally not worth it. Given our situation that night though, will take it.
Good place to stay for an out of town construction worker. Check in was fast an friendly. Breakfast bar was well stocked. Room clean up service could pay a little more attention to detail.
I never thought about taking my own sheets until I stayed at this place. I honestly cannot recommend this place to anyone because of the lack of cleanliness. The staff, on the other hand, is very friendly and courteous.
